Women’s Recovery Retreat

Retreat Description
The Women’s Recovery Retreat is held at the beautiful Lake Huron Retreat Center on the first weekend in August, Friday evening through Sunday afternoon. One-third of the ladies receive scholarships, so they pay only a small fee. Those who need transportation join a fun carpool ride to the retreat center.

The three-day retreat includes:

  • recovery workshops
  • great food, snacks, fresh-baked goods to take home
  • yoga, labyrinth-walking, quiet reflection, recovery meetings
  • s’mores-making at the beachside fire pit, drumming, dancing
  • swimming, sunbathing, lounging, fellowshipping
  • the “no-talent” talent show
  • crafts, a charm ceremony
  • and more…

The retreat center has hotel-like accommodations and sits on Lake Huron in Port Huron, MI. It’s absolutely beautiful and peaceful there. Writing about it just won’t do it justice.

We met on Zoom Friday evening and Saturday from the comfort of our own homes. If people joined small groups, they followed social distancing and wore masks.

The cost was $25 per attendee with scholarships for $5. This fee included a goodie bag, Visa gift card for lunch, craft supplies, and a charm.
